I don't buy it. It could have been the 13th picture in a series for all you know. It wouldn't have made sense until Joe answered correctly.B)The title of the picture was a hint for me (hover the cursor over the image)B)

BTW: the clue was the leading edge cuffs.
Combination - I'd seen material on it before but had to track it down. My clue was that it was just too ugly to be Stinson, Taylocraft, Piper, or Cessna - the better known observation planes. Vultee. Figures!
