Touchdown! Greaser!
I have worn Allen Edmonds dress shoes for over 20 years, and have had the occasion to get various pairs recrafted after I literally wore them out. They are returned to you with new soles, heals, refurnished leather, and even felt shoe bags and shoe trees if you want them.
Recently, I returned my first pair of casual shoes for recrafting, after I, once again, wore them out. This 8-year old pair of boots took my through my private pilot and instrument ratings, and were perfect for preflighting in snow and slush, and hugging my ankles to remind me I needed to use my feet when flying!
From a customer service persective, they actually send you before and after pictures of your recrafted shoes, and keep you informated as to the progress. I received the email below today.
I have no conflict of interest with Allen Edmonds, but just wanted to recommend this Port Washington, Wisconsin based manufacturer of the highest quality shoes I have ever worn.
