I'm okay with the self checkouts at the grocery store, they speed the process when the counters are full. But they don't replace the checkout clerks. I can't deal with self checkout when I have a plethora of stuff that needs codes or lookups.

RFID was supposed to be here by now where you just push your cart through a scanner and everything gets billed or something. Maybe others can say why it ain't so.

Apparently Amazon Go figured out that sensors, cameras and AI are better than RFID.
