I found this nut on the floor of my 182-S today. Came stock with a Silver Crown Nav III avionics package. I just had a significant avionics upgrade, removing a KAP 140, ADF, HSI, CDI, VSI and installed GFC 500, GI 275 x 2. The entire radio rack was removed along with center pedestal and panels. The interior was gutted as well for the wire runs/ servo install. Both mechanics cannot identify the nut and I can’t reach the avionics tech until Monday. The nut looks like it is designed for finger tightening (knurled) and has been drilled for safety wire.
