All my training was worth it as I got to take my 7 year old son up for his first flight last week. His older brother went along and rode in the back.

If you want to watch we made a short two minute music video to mark the occasion.

Nice! I couldn't hear exactly what he said at the end, but it sounded like "This was awesome!" :)

The shadow of the airplane on take-off was neat.

So, what crop was that in the irrigation circles? Would that be wheat?

Very cool! I can't wait to take my sons up with me. I didn't know that we had another Nebraskan on the board. I'm originally from North Platte, now living in Lincoln. There are quite a few Lincolnites on PoA.

Someone said (fairly enthusiastically) "This was awesome, I wanna do this like a hundred more times". Sounds like your kids are hooked.

Most of the fields you see are old corn stalks from last years crop, that's why they look yellow instead of green. Planting corn is just getting started around here. We are a week behind schedule due to the wet conditions.

Yep, that would be Brayden-my 7 year old. He's asked to go flying everyday since! I thought he might be scared but we picked a calm day and he did great!
