I'm going to guess that Wings Of Hope already has that number.

As far as state registration taxes, they vary wildly.
 
Find a pilot friend or a POA friend and get that thing in the air. It wants to be flown. If I were closer I would take you up and let you have some fun in it.
 
I've always been apprehensive about the Wings Of Hope raffles, maybe I'll buy a ticket this year.

Congrats Josh. It doesn't look all that worn to me. Like most things, it is all a matter of our perspective. I hope you get a lot of enjoyment. Check out the Cessna 150-152 Club website. There is a fly in down at Clinton, IA, you may want to hit this summer.

I've seen it. I'm thinking about cominf for the fly-in. I'm already off that whole week as it is.

A rebuilt engine was put in in 2008, and only has 143 hours. Airframe has a little under 5000 hours, not bad for a 38 year old. It was damaged in a storm in 2009, and a lot of work was put in to get it back in the air. If I ever run into the previous owner, he's getting a ride.
 
I'm envious. I learned to fly in a 150 and still love them.
 
My wife is always laughing at me when I'm online and when she asks me what I'm doing and I reply, "Airplane stuff." She didn't understand how I could spend hours reading websites and looking at things to buy. Last night she spent 3 hours looking for a new headset for herself. For the record, she was choosing by color.

Congrats Josh. My first airplane back in the early 80's was a 1976 150M. I bought it to learn to fly in. I loved that little bird but eventually sold it when my wife became pregnant with our second child and we out grew the plane. It was still so sad to me the day I had to watch it fly away. I had put about 100 hours on it. I just remember it being so much fun for my son and I to go flying in. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine. Fortunately I was eventually able to replace mine with a Cherokee.

On a side note, you must be one lucky guy. :eek: I don't think I've ever won anything in my life. Well I take that back...I have won the lottery at work to go pee in the bottle for drug testing. :rolleyes:

I plan on keeping this as long as possible. Since I will be the only person in it 80% of the time, and most of my flights will probably be a few hundren miles at most, it's perfect for me.

It has a nice 6 pack. Add a 2nd Nav/com with glideslope, pitot/static check and get your instrument rating :)

I did mine in a 152 with that equipment. And made several 300+ mile trips under IFR after I got the rating.
 
Wings of Hope's newest raffle is for a nice Cessna 172 complete with zero time engine and a flight scholarship to be used for a PPL or more advanced training, plus a Lightspeed Zulu headset. Everything so far looks good to me, but I'm also a noob at ownership and one of the prvious IA's handwritting is hard to read. They flew it 3 hours to deliver it and had no problems.

Never thought of that. I'm still waiting for the FAA disk to see if there are things the logbooks are missing.

No:sad::sad::sad:. When the weather has been good I've been at the dentist or other doctor. I have two appointments later this week while the weather is good, and then the weather is turning crappy on Saturday again. I might be able to get out tomorrow before my dentist appointment. But I will be at the airport this weekend getting measurements to get some new seats made! I need to get up soon. I may need another knee surgery, and who knows how long that might keep me out of the air.
 
You can always win second or third prize...I'm thoroughly convinced I have first prize already won. :D
