Its a Cuban thing too. My CFII dad (ret EAL L-1011 Capt) did it to my brother (ret Delta 747 Capt) and I (ret US Navy flt surg) many yrs ago.

Isn't that just to solo? Yeah, yer a pilot but to be licensed(first person to say that's certificated will be struck down by a bolt of lightning) it's 16 fer gliders and balloons and 17 for powered. I think

Cluemeister! Thanks for your kind words. The last photo is her phenomenal CFI, Robert E. I’m the idiot in blue scrubs with the bucket. I think her instructor, who’s been doing my biennials for the past 10 yrs, thinks the whole fam is nuts. The dog’s name is ‘Beasley’ 2 yr old choc lab-pit bull mix and an absolute angel fur ball of love. My little son Austin may be showing a spark of interest, maybe I can get him away from the video games and computer? My beautiful wife is Janine.

Congratulations to Nicole!! Why isn’t she flying your Commander?

Jumpmaster, she’s been flying that commander for the last 8 yrs at least. Right seat only for now. I just don’t want her to get overwhelmed at this point. The PPL check-ride will be much simpler with a C-172. But as soon as she gets that ticket, high performance endorsement and left seat are both going to follow in very rapid succession.
