Alright, for all you guys who can't make it down for our Mustang Island fly-in (cuz of some stupid air race out in Reno, of all things), here is your chance to see one of the coolest gathering of Mustangs, like ever: http://www.mustangfest.org

No, it's not P-51s (although I'm told that one or two will be in attendance), it's one of the largest Ford Mustang rallies ANYWHERE in the world.

Starting in Mustang, Oklahoma, and picking up participants all along the way, the parade ends right here in Port Aransas on Mustang Island, just down the road from our place. You will see every iteration of Mustang ever built, plus all sorts of highly modified custom cars. If you're into the greatest pony car ever built, Mustang Island will be THE place to be.

I've received word that both Cirrus and Piper have signed on and will have aircraft on display at the Mustang Beach Airport. We are anticipating LOTS of fly-ins, so book your room early. (As always, your Pilots of America membership nets you a 10% discount!) And if you want to enter your Mustang in the rally, follow the links on the webpage, above.

Hope to you see some of your folks here. Here's a picture of our Mustang, taken yesterday on the ferry:

Haw! That's mean!

You should tell him about this rally -- maybe he can join the parade for a few miles. They are trying for a THOUSAND Mustangs! Would that be cool to see, or what? B)

he's already done his vacation for the summer. that sounds like quite a rally though

You know, there are probably 3-4 P-51s in a 50 mile radius of SAT, and I'm sure there are several others in Houston and Dallas...
