True statement - except the majority of the controllers within that range are actually quite good. It's the virtual sim pilots that crack me up. Recently, there have been a ton of new folks who probably picked up MSFS and have given VATSIM a go without understanding procedures. And you really do need to understand things like - how to file a flight plan, request a clearance, call for taxi (lol pushback too sometimes), get takeoff clearance, fly the SID, hold at times, fly a STAR, etc.... all while switching frequencies as you get passed off. All that is pretty realistic and people who don't take the time to learn the procedures... well it's funny to listen to on the (virtual) radio, but I can see how the poor folks trying to juggle 50 aircraft covering top-down from center all the way to some untowered field where some guy is trying to get a clearance to fly in a (virtual) 172 while the controller is handling (virual) 738s, A320s, etc.... Yeah those VATSIM guys are actually really good, now that I think about it.
