I don't know why this trend started or who thought it was a good idea but it needs to stop.

Every time I do certain things now like rent a car, go to a doctor, have a car serviced, deal with a call center for something, etc a few hours to days later I get a call. Sometimes it's a real person but just as likely it's an automated robodialer that wants me to rate my experience.

I try to leave the feedback that my experience was fine but I find the survey annoying- often there's no way to do so and I expect even the human callers aren't doing anything with it.

What it suggests to me when your company has absolutely no idea how interactions with their customers are going and nobody in the corporate office can be bothered to come down and participate in the meat and potatoes of your day to day operations.

Either way, stop calling me.

MBA middle marketing managers justifying their existence. I do a little mystery shopping from time to time. It's easy money and even easier free food. Lots of companies are doing it for likely the same reason.

They actually have robo-hangup phone accessories now. Sounds like you might need one.

Oh man, I gotta get PAID, in some fashion, to do a survey . . .my time, and the info I hold regarding the "experience", has value, so I'm not giving it away for free.

Amazon, local gov't, FAA - need some incentive, or I blow 'em off.

I tell them the service was garbage. It is surprising how often that results in a human being that you can tell that you absolutely despise doing business with people who cannot be bothered to pick up the phone and call you themselves.

Like Sundancer, I ask for compensation... hourly rate is $100 with a half our min, provide a credit card or we can end the call right now.

I don't do surveys or rate products, if you pester me then you'll get the lowest rating I can give.

Yeah, but does it stop the robo surveys?

All my calls go straight to voicemail. Most of the robocall systems hang up the instant it recognizes that voicemail answered. Pretty easy to log on the computer and dump them. Also easy to see repeat numbers and blacklist them.

Never happens to me. Maybe you are just buying too much high end stuff.

Knock on wood I don't get phone call surveys but I get email ones. The latest was my gastroenterologist wanting to know how I liked my colonoscopy. You didn't perforate me or lose the polyp samples so I'm happy. What am I supposed to say?

It was a very fulfilling experience, and afterward was a real blast!

A coworker actually got a live call from the undertaker that took care of his mom, asking how the cremation went. I told him he should’ve said “it was well done”.:D

He thought it was humorous, but don’t ever say that to his wife.

Nobody bothers me with robocalls. I haven't picked up an unknown number in over a decade.
Smart people will leave a voicemail. Even smarter people will text me. Dumb people and low-lives can go f*** themselves. *shrug*
Yes, the SOP for phone calls sure has changed but the new one works fine so why should I lose sleep over it?

My out going message states that I do not check voice mail or email, and text works best.

I really don't know why I have an email address. I never check it and when I do I just do mass deletes.
