Final Approach
What is this a picture of?
Identify? My last airplane had one.Can you identify this one? LOL
At least you have a visual indication and you wouldn't have to listen to the continuous Morse code. Must have been a huge improvement!Imagine shooting an approach with this:
... uphill, both ways, in the snow, nothing but newspaper for our feet...
Not only can I identify it I have used one that was placarded “not for navigation” while rocking it out in the flight levels flying a three hole Boeing. Good times. Can you identify this one? LOL
Easy...Imagine shooting an approach with this:
Don't make me start quoting from "The Four Yorkshireman"... uphill, both ways, in the snow, nothing but newspaper for our feet...
I've never seen one of these without a non op sticker by it...Can you identify this one? LOL

It's the thing you pretend to follow for the examiner after doing finger gymnastics on it to BS a hold entry type while glancing at your Foreflight approach plate to see where you actually are in order to figure out how you're actually supposed to fly it
I did my whole Instrument rating with a single VOR/GS. I also fly in IMC with that single VOR/GS, single pilot . I'd just like better gyros (the spinny kind, not the sandwich kind), mine suck....because adulting is hard.
If you think flying a VOR or LOC approach is difficult, or flying w/o moving map, you got shortchanged on your training.

Pure luxury. We used to DREAM of buying a Superhomer....Imagine shooting an approach with this:
oooh oooh...I wanna play...name these archaic relics:
My Century II does the flying, I do the snoozing, ATC does the clearing!
B*tch, please. Aircraft sextant from WWII on the right.Real men fly with a compass, stopwatch.. *maybe* a sextant
Gift wrap?oooh oooh...I wanna play...name these archaic relics:
