I originally started planning on Saturdays because NealRomeoGolf can't do Sundays, but if Sunday works best for some people, I'm not personally opposed to that, or any other day of the week for that matter.
 
TAFs look fine til 2-4p EDT. What do we think?

If I knew what time the line of TS was going to form. To big of a risk of not being able to get home for me.
 
I vote push to the rain date. Dodging TS/CB for a lunch run isn’t my jam.

Nope. This picture doesn’t show what was happening but when we departed BAK this were exploding with vertical growth. By the time i got back home there were pockets of moderate to severe precip. The strange this was the winds remained calm and the air was super smooth!

Can one of the mods change the title of this to show the 21st and we can try again next week? Earlier in the morning say 9:30 or 10 so we can all get out before any convective activities start in the afternoon

I'll get it. Sorry nobody showed up, I would've if I wasn't planting. I'll set it for 10, but remember that a lot of us are on central time, so that's pretty early for those with 1+ hour flight.

Non-zero chance I'll be able to come next week. Also non- zero chance I'll finally have my plane back...:sigh:
 
I might use this as my Saratoga shakedown flight #1… so if folks need rides. I can confirm by Wednesday.

She's in Macon where we left her in February. The magnetos will hopefully be back this week, and (again hopefully) that will be the the last delay. @NealRomeoGolf and I have been talking about a trip if his schedule allows, and my hangar neighbor offered a ride in his A36. I definitely appreciate the offer, and might take you up on it since you're going that way anyway. We'll just have to see how the weather & everyone's schedules line up.

Based on prog charts alone, Sunday is supposed to be spectacular. My issue is I have a commitment here from 1030-130 on Sunday. Before which and/or after which I may be airborne and poking holes in the sky…
 
Thunderstorms forecast Saturday and Sunday in Dayton. No chance for me.
