Merlin Lite

Ive been thinking about getting an actual plane for my self. When ever I feel like flying I just rent one from our airport. But I've been flying more and more and its only ever been me up there and the Merlin Lite is right in my budget and it seems good but almost too good to be true. Im also super big on safety so a BRS is great for me. But I was wondering of anyone has had any experience with it? Also is it a true ultralight it seems like it would be heavier than 254Lbs.

idk all the details of the matters but a guy at my local airport ordered one like 4-5 years ago and still hasn't got it. Blamed covid for a long time, then was having problems with the fwf package, then just went silent for a while. I think the unfinished plane was finally shipped to a reputable completion center and will hopefully arrive this spring.
