Is there a reference somewhere that details the medical standards the FAA uses for airmen certification? A master list of meds that are allowed and disallowed?

I have a student that has been jumping through hoops for the FAA and her regular doctor has requested this as the FAA keeps finding new things they want more information about. Her doctor would like to get an idea of what exactly the FAA is looking for so she (the Dr.) can deal with everything at once.

I don't know the answer, but I doubt there is such a master list.

I just finished participating in a session that considered publishing a "standard of care" for the veterinary profession. In the end, the general consensus would be that knowledge and technology change so frequently that such a list would be outdated before it could be published. Each case must be determined on it's own merit based on currently available information.

No, they don't.
In fact for the things they do publish, it's usually a little out of date- the standards change so quickly they can't keep up.

You HAVE to have someone that already knows, communicate to the doc....
