Heard from Ted's mom today that today was the wedding day!! In St. John's Newfoundland. This is great news. This is POA's first official wedding ( Of POAers that is)

Who knows if kids are in their future but in honor of how they met I'm gonna suggest if they do decide to have kids and they have a boy they name him Spike and if they have a girl they name her Spike.

Here's wishing them many years of happiness and health!!:cheerswine:

And don't forget it's a mixed marriage, her being a whirly-girl and all...

Wishing them MANY happy years together.

In the spirit of aviation boards everywhere, pictures must be posted or it didn't happen.:D

Mercy Me! Is this an announced event that I missed, or a complete surprise?

Congratulations (to Ted), and Good Luck (to Laurie)!

Many heartfelt congratulations.

Thank you, all! Neither Laurie nor I ever believed that joining PoA would lead us to our soulmate, so apparently the MC should put advertisements on late night TV about "Find the love of your life on..." The wedding was beautiful, and we're enjoying relaxing a bit. But we did have to go change it on Facebook, since otherwise it's not official. ;)

Pictures will come at a later point. The photographer we had was excellent, and it will take a bit to get the photos back.

We had a truly wonderful day, it couldn't have been better.

And no, Adam, I don't suspect we'll be naming a baby girl Spike (sorry, Spike). Though, Laurie is rather partial to the name Otto Row Tate DuPuis. :D

WOW, Ted! And Laurie! That's really cool.

Congratulations!!!

Nice photo. Happy people. Good times. Congratulations. :D

As far as PoA being the Match.com of the aviation world... Yikes!! ;)

As I posted on FB, CONGRATULATIONS! And you know that ou would need to mname the kid Otto Pilot. The photo is wonderful. Laurie is beautiful, and Ted cleans up pretty well too.

Honest truth, guys:

I have been married 28.5 years, and when I think of the day I got married, I can only smile.

Looking at the picture of the two of you, thinking of all you have ahead of you, I am filled with joy. It's a heckuva ride- hang on and enjoy it!

I've got 10 years on you, and I can only smile when I think back to our wedding, too. Best of luck to the two of you. It isn't always easy, but it's always worth it.

Actually, we got married outdoors at a place called Signal Hill here in St. John's. It's where Marconi received the first trans-atlantic radio transmission, and also where I proposed. St. John's, a place notorious for its low clouds and fog, had such good weather when I flew up on Tuesday that I could have done a visual approach, and we had sun and perfect weather for the day of the wedding (other than the standard winds, which are pretty strong). Yesterday was the first day with clouds and fog, which was actually nice.

The picture was taken at the reception afterwards, which was in a room of a restaurant (in the cellar, obviously).

Thank you all for the kind words - we couldn't be happier!

Congratulations to you both!! Here's to a long and happy marriage! From the picture, would seem that Ted really can be "dressed up and taken out".
