Hello,
I’ve been flying my RV6 for nearly two decades, and have yet to try a max ceiling flight.
I do have oxygen on board and am IFR rated. How should I inform/request ATC to perform a max ceiling flight?

Thanks in advance for useable suggestions.
(Please spare your sarcasms.)

18,000 isn't only Class A airspace with IFR reqs, but also rules out Cannula based delivery systems and you'll need a mask. Not sure if you current system has the mask.

I'd recommend a flight to 15,000 or 16,000 first to try everything out. Just do it VFR or get flight following. I always get flight following.

Although only required to provide O2 up there for passengers. I'd make them use it or have them stay back.

Agree. Just do it VFR.
I tested my RV-9A to 17,500 that way.
