I understand that this only requires changing Pistons on the 0320e2a. Does this not require a 337? Or just a logbook entry?

All STCs require a 337 to add that STC to the aircraft history records. Your A&P-IA can return to service.

Go to Piperforum.com, look for JimC. If he's no longer there, I have his contact info. Art (who got the STC Approval) died a couple of years ago. Jim was his friend and knows everything you need to know about the STC.

From what I know, it's the best 160HP STC for Cherokees out there but not worth it unless you're doing an MOH.
 
The reason I'm asking is, I have been asked to partner in a Cherokee 140. I ordered the records from the FAA but the 337 isn't there, but there is a logbook entry for it and a copy of the STC with the logs. The 337 could be in there somewhere, I just got all the logs tonight and haven't looked through it all piece by piece. However, A quick look didn't turn up the 337.
