Hey guys.
So I'm looking to do some panel work on my 185. I'm not adding anything, she's got everything I want, but I would like to ditch the CD player and swap it to a TRRS plug.
Basically I don't own a single CD, and the player just looks out of place IMO, I've also seen folks pay a good dollar for them on eBay (god knows why).
I'd like to delete the CD player and install a 3.5mm TRRS plug, providing input and output through COM 3 on my Garmin 340, this way I could listen to my iPod, use it with a CB or other handheld radio, or use it with a cell phone and have everyone able to hear it, and both upfront able to transmit.
Something like this.
http://www.kvconnection.com/product-p/km-161-5435.htm
But preferably black, gold plated and with a flapper door cover.
Also any suggestions on where I can get a panel cutout to spec, doesn't need to be painted or anything, just a 185 panel like this, but with the cutouts to match my layout (Sandel, Garmins, JPI, trim, etc).
Thanks!
