Magnesium Prepaint treatment

Is it just me or are there basically no chromic acid treatments available for magnesium anymore?

The only thing I see is a brush-on Henkel kit that is north of $150 for a tiny 8 ounces of solution.

What are the alternatives?

Dupont has a treatment process....similar to the etch/alodine method. I'll post more when I get to my home computer.

The most important part of this process is getting the material "dry" before one starts priming. Many painters use heaters for +24 hrs prior to spraying.
