Looking for a portable 2 person oxygen system for my Mooney. If you have one you would like to sale please PM me with description and price.

Thank You
Rock

Only thing to change about that list is to swap that simple regulator for an oxygen conserving regulator and you get much better oxygen savings.

Lots of them on EBay. I have a Bonsai OM-812 regulator. But others are just the same like the Easy Pulse 5.

Might not be your thing, but I put one together off of Amazon for a fraction of the price of an "aviation" system.
$200 for 2-place...

thanks for those links. coupl'a questions.....how long does that bottle last? I'm assuming it's refillable? if I recall, the CGA870 should be refillable. is that the one u can refill at a local welder shop? would u do anything differently now? I like the idea of a conserving regulator but it looks like that almost immediately doubles the cost of the setup. ok thanks....

EBay medical oxygen equipment is cheap and often plentiful.

Eman, I use 1.5 or 2 liters per hour, depending on altitude. It leaves plenty of time. Like 3+ hours for me and my wife at the same time.
It is refillable. My mechanic at the airport fills it for “free”. For how infrequently I need oxygen, I wouldn’t change a thing. If I needed oxygen all the time, I’d probably spring for a pulse regulator.

Don’t forget the every 5 year test on the bottle...

Just having a Oximizer cannula which is probably $30 from a aviation site and about $25 from a medical supply place will take that bottle you listed and extend it between 3x to 4x. I like the medallion version that hangs down low. Others like the moustache style. They a a lot cheaper than the pulsing system.

What is awesome about the pulsing system is that the cannula doesn't need to be in the nose and can be on a boom like a mic and still save 02.

any chance u have a link?

Sorry...got a little busy. I have seen this before and I think 'Niko' from his YouTube channel uses these. If you read farther down on the page you will see that these are meant to go with the "Mountain High" pulse based systems...man they make nice stuff...spendy but nice. So I am not sure this would work with a cheaper medical pulsed system.

EDIT: I should also note...they cannula tips do go in the nose...I thought it was just pulsing right below the nose so my bad there. But otherwise seems like a nice setup and not fussing with stuff over the ear cups (or under them).

The pulse demand regulators are super cheap in EBay. Just get one and it will pay for itself in just a few trips max.

Just not sure if I would recommend the ebay versions with the headset cannulas linked above since I don't think they have an oximizer and I'm guessing the Mountain High unit has accounted for that. Not sure on that though...just following their warning.

If you go with an oximizer cannula, can you skip the pulsed regulator?

I keep seeing oxygen concentrators advertised, they aren't all that expensive. Thoughts?

Main issues are weight, power and effectiveness decreases with altitude.

My friend "Craggy" who I took on his first airplane ride in 1966.......then flew B52 bombers in Viet Nam...........has a website where he sells exotic equipment for sailplanes. Includes oxygen systems. Support our vets!!!
