I am 76 years old with 6 heart attacks (last one over 10 years ago, so I don't consider it a problem, but the FAA propably does -) - so I don't think I will be a Pilot in Command any time soon!
I starting flying when I was 14 years old in a Piper J3 Cub at Sally's Flying School at Palwaukee Airport, near Chicago; soloed at 16 and Private License on 17th birthday.
I was a partial owner of a Taylor Craft. I have piloted Piper Colt, Cherokee and Apache.I attended and helped out a little at the EAA fly in - when it was held in Rockford. Rejected by the Navy for eyesight and Kidneys, after that I choose Marriage over Flying, I wish I had that choice to make over again!!
That is my background.
What I am looking for is some dual time "maybe as a Student Pilot" in an Ercoupe. Just two or three hours. Looks like a fun little plane to fly on a warm sunny day with the "top" down. Nothing fancy, just the basics, some "touch and goes" and then we will see.
I was never any good with the radio (flunked the Multi because of it), and strugled with night vision.
