If the description section of the approach says "Night landing: RWY27 NA for Cat C/D aircraft.

Can you still request it and will ATC give you this approach?

You can certainly ask and be cleared for the approach, but it remains the PIC's responsibility not to violate this restriction. ATC doesn't know for sure your approach category, and if it's a nontowered airport, they certainly don't know on which runway you will land.

Are you flying a CAT C or D airplane? If so, are you operating under Ops Specs?

Is your approach speed greater than 120 Kts? If you're talking about a Mooney, then no it wouldn't be a problem.
