Here's a couple of new Able Flight successes. Very inspiring stories. Jessica prepared so hard for each lesson it was amazing. She is a real pleasure to fly with. Congratulations Jessica and Ryan.!!!

LOL I loved the second one. That was great. I remember talking to myself on my first solo.

Also, Tyler Ryan soloed on June 1st at Wings Field in Pennsylvania! This was after being there for just two weeks, the first of which was mostly bad weather... meaning Tyler put in a LOT of work the second week!

He is training through Philly Sport Pilot, the flight school that my former Able Flight student Sean O' Donnell formed. I had the pleasure of flying with Sean in his Sky Arrow at the FlyBQ fly-in on May 17th, and I met Tyler the same day.

Congratulations to Tyler and his instructor! Watch the Able Flight web site for an article coming soon!

Fantastic,.. what a great program. Neat to hear him talking through his approach,... I remember talking to myself while I was downwind the first time and getting configured for landing. Funny how the instructor is still sitting there with you, even if it's only in your head.

Congrats!

Sean O'Donnell has asked me to share this e-mail with everyone on POA. He will be making quite a long trip in his Sky Arrow next month and hopes to raise awareness and funds for Able Flight.

Dear Friends and Collegues,

I hope this finds you all doing very well. As some of you may know, in the last year I have committed myself to furthering a cause which has given a lot to me and others with disabilities. That cause is Able Flight. (www.ableflight.org)

Having been one of the 2nd pilot to complete the program, I have been asked to perform a charity flight this summer. The flight will take me from Philadelphia to Atlanta to Oshkosh, WI. The hope is to raise awareness of the program along the way and show the community how capable a disabled pilot can be.

I will be flying my airplane the entire way starting on my birthday, July 19 and ending as a fly-in to the EAA Airshow about 10 days later. I will be making stops everyday to raise awareness at airports/towns about how the world of piloting is not just for the able-bodied.

If you would like to support the efforts for this tour financially, it would give many others the opportunity to learn to fly regardless of their disability. Please visit the Able Flight website and click on "Make a Donation" to give online. If you want to, place in the comment line "ABT" which stands for the Ableflight Barnstorming Tour - the name of the summer event.

I appreciate and thank you all for the support everyone has given me so far and look forward to giving everyone a safe adventure that we can talk about the next time we see eachother. Feel free to give me a call or drop an email if you want to talk about it further.

Finally, if you can think of anyone else that may be interested in supporting this, please forward them this email.

Hope to talk to you all soon!

Best Regards,
Sean
