I thought I was done mowing the runway in late Sept. We got a good soaking and it sprouted again. So I got the ZTR out, check the oil and put in some no-eth gas. Spent a few good hours mowing and doing some FOD checking. Found a bone, probably left from a dog being out there, and also found a piece of light mesh screen. I think it might have been a retaining screen for an air cleaner on a vintage plane. Just a guess.
I might do another brush hog in late Oct or early Nov. Some of the over-run on the edge is a bit tall, and hides the deer(can you see two way, way down at the end?). Should be good until next April or may. Flying out on Sun for a few days, keep the grass stains off my prop.
