Lake of the Ozarks - Airports and Camping

Hello,

I am planning a trip to K15 or maybe KAIZ this weekend for an overnight camping trip. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for food/camping/items of interest within a few miles of either of these airports?

Anything else to consider when flying into this area?

That's not far enough to bother with an airplane. Why not keep on going to kentucky lake ? Much better fishing
 
On Google maps it looks like there's a state park campground due south of Lee C Fine (KAIZ) on the Grand Glaize arm. It's not much of a lake there though.

I didn't see anything near Grand Glaize/Osage Beach (K15).
 
As far as other things besides camping...K15 is near the heart of the action. AIZ is in the middle of nowhere comparatively speaking.

So it just depends on what you want and if you'll have a car.
 
Thanks for the help. I found the campground near KAIZ that you mentioned. We will probably fly into K15 to find food/check out the area and then over to KAIZ.
 
I grew up in that area, used to work at the mall in high school. I'd love to give you a ton of info but it's changed so much since I left (in 2000) that I'm sure you'll be able to find something good to eat.
