Hmmm, maybe not Hangar 24 as it seems they "may" not have food but Havasu for sure. We can find food somewhere else.

Edit: They have food but don't open until 11 on Saturdays. We need to adjust the time to reflect.

I don't know who I'll bring yet. If my daughter Lauren wants to come or someone else. Pretty boring flying alone.

Depending on the weather, I will be there as well as Jeff and possibly (Chris) @deyoung. I've heard from Rusty but none of the other Arizona/Southwest guys have spoken up. Anyone else?
 
Likely for me, at least currently. I am totally not a morning person, but I can probably manage to make it there by around 11:00. :) Wife may or may not come, she'll probably decide the night before. :)
 
Hello from the beaches of Baja. Wishing we Could be there.

Waiting for our birdie to get new avionics so I’m happy doing C172 speeds on isolated roads in Baja Wine country on the Gsxr.
 
Nice. Keep the rubber side down. I bought a Zero S a while ago; it won't beat the gsxr in a stretch but it's a totally fun city bike with a ton of torque. And, 130 miles worth of "fuel" costs me about 75 cents.
 
Forecast is looking pretty good for the Havasu fly-in. From the NWS Las Vegas Forecast Discussion:

DISCUSSION...today through next Monday.

No significant weather impacts are expected through the forecast period. Some cirrus clouds over Inyo County and south central Nevada were associated with a weak upper level circulation over central California this morning, but that will be the only noticeable effect of this feature as it works its way down over southeast California and across Arizona by early Tuesday. A ridge near the West Coast will then migrate inland through Wednesday ahead of a shortwave trough which will quickly move across the Great Basin late Thursday leading to some breezy conditions but wind gusts should generally be less than 30 mph.

Temps will lower about 5 degrees Friday as broad troughing develops over the West going into the weekend allowing a deeper shortwave to dig over the Great Basin and Intermountain Region Saturday night and Sunday. Model ensembles depict a deep trough carving out over the Four Corners region which would lead to gusty north winds Sunday into Monday for our forecast area but wind gusts look to be generally 25 to 35 mph as high temps drop an additional 10 degrees or so.

Yep, been watching that closely and the temps are coming down as well. Looking forward to it. I'm bringing a kid from work with me as it may be iffy to get my daughter out of bed. She's flying in from Nashville the night before and will probably be too tired to make the trip. I was going to take the kid up with me anyway when he got rated as I do with all the other controllers but why not go a little early. He's actually from Havasu and his family is going to meet us at Hangar 24.
 
By the way, I'll be monitoring 122.75 on the way up if anyone wants to see where we are in relation to one another. So far, I only know of three of us going from Arizona.
 
Back home. Some notes for next time:

1. Do NOT buy a growler of beer with electrical tape holding the bail down.
2. Said growler WILL leak.
3. I have to get a faster plane.

The good news: That new tee shirt I bought soaked up all the spilled beer.

Great time everyone. Met a new friend from the pilot place forum. Always good so see Chris, Jeff and his lovely wife.
