My wife & I bake cookies for active duty serviceman over seas, actually, I do the taste testing and shipping. Since we are having a troop buildup in Afghanistan I thought Operation Baking Gals (OBG) should be ramped up also. If you are serving overseas and read this forum, or if you have a son, daughter, relative, friend serving our country and you would like to have them receive some free home made goodies send me a PM with details about the person, their military address, a little history, ect. and I will pass it along to make sure they get some good stuff!

Just a good thing to do for our troops. Nothing better than getting a care package from home, and we'll put your name on it also with a little note of thanks for their service. ;)

Thanks for the nice comment. I remember being at sea and one of my buddies getting a care package. It was quite the event, cookies, cakes, homemade canned goods, jallopinos, pickles, games, cards, just stuff to help you forget what you are doing for a few minutes. Just made the day go a little faster, and you walked alittle straighter knowing someone cared.

Thanks, but all I do is sample the cookies, and mail the packages! I could not allow the cookies to go to our troops without taste testing! Nothing but the best for our fighting men and women! :lol:
