King schools CFI ground training

I am interested in purchasing the CFI FOI course. I have my written exam completed already so I will not need it for the written exam however, I do want to hear honest feedback on the course and if it’s worth the purchase? I keep hearing mixed reviews from people so I wanted to ask and see if any user here actually used the program for studying on the CFI ground portion.

How similar is the course to the commercial course ?

King courses (among others) are geared toward the written, and are generally not complete enough to be worthwhile beyond that.

I like the King CFI practical test course. I haven't seen their FOI course but I don't know why you would buy it if you took the written already. Just read the AIH.

I think the mixed reviews are because different people learn differently.

I liked the King courses because they were quirky enough to keep my attention. I tried watching a Sporty's course once and it was too dry for me.

The courses are geared toward passing the written, not really a review. It might be a good start, though, if you find their format engaging. It will at least give you a better idea of what topics you want to spend more time reading.
