King Air down 2/20/20 near Coleman, TX

That’s sucks. Sounded like the pilot stayed pretty calm and had a plan. But other things went south. God bless
 
Just heard the audio. Yeah, sounds like a self-disclosed electronics degrade and a descending turn in IMC. I'm afraid Occam's got this one again. Garden variety Spatial-D LOC. Type-I to Type-II Spatial-D transition when ATC retorts to maintain 5k after him reporting 4,700. The radar track tells the tale of what really was going with the aircraft as he calmly reports that altitude. Monster VVI, unchecked turn the whole time.

The audio is harrowing - it's obvious he's disoriented, even as he sounds so calm and professional. When he reports "4,700" and gonna "pull up" there's a hint of panic in his voice - just a hint.
