Perhaps they've not heard of the ongoing cholesterol problem in this country? :ihih:

They got tired of Atkinson's followers telling them to hold the bun.

This whole...I will eat less bread but goop up the fried stuff is ridiculous.

I think it would be better if they'd wrap the whole thing in bacon, dip in a beer batter, then deep fat fry it!

Remember it's not the restaurants make'n us fat. Self control and you can eat/drink what you want.:D

For me, only think I like at KFC is the slaw and the attractive people that work there.:sosp:

Wait, really, post #8, and I'm the only one that drooled over this??

You get that at Taco Town!

True...but I think information presented to the buyer, at the time of purchase, would be appropriate.

I know people that try to eat healthy-ish and they have been floored to find out that a BK Whopper combo is over 1200 calories. Yes they know it IS bad, but most people do not really know HOW bad fast food is.

That is why I support putting calorie and fat counts RIGHT ON THE MENU so people can exercise that control, or not be able to claim they did not know how bad it was as they waggle their three chins.

You are not alone...

Of course, if it's anything like the 'Gargantuan' biscuit or whatever it was at Burger King, it won't live up to the hype.

TACO TOWN!!! LOL Good one Mike.:D

If they put fat grams/calories on the menu, well...they wouldn't be in business very long. I know it would make me feel bad to order the "double by-pass burger" even if I was in good shape.

I say eat right at home and have fun when you go out to eat. Easy for me to say live'n on a farm 12mi from a town of 3500. :D

idk. The McDonolds in my town (maybe nationwide?) now print the full nutrition info on their food wrappers. As I'm eating a burger the calories are starring at me. Most other places have a huge poster on a wall near the register with nutrition info too, so it's not really hidden. Just not in your face.

What about the nurse outfits?

Three biscuits topped with ham, pork sausage, bacon, cheese, two over easy eggs, and gravy.

speaking of artery clogging sandwiches, at the Decatur, IL airport the restaurant specializes in "Horseshoe Sandwiches" which are open face sandwiches topped with fries and sealed in cheddar cheese. yum.

mmm....the Thanksgiving Dinner sandwich from that place in Las Vegas, NV....can't remember the name of the sandwich or the restaurant, but holy cow, delicious.

Its a sub sandwich with Turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and other stuff too.

/me drools

I did not know that. I haven't been to a McD's in at least 2yrs. I just don't eat out very often.:dunno::D

What about the nurse outfits?

Last time I saw a "nurse" it was in a ..........oops, shouldn't go there.B)

Their outfits don't do much for me, why such an odd question?;):D

I don't want to live forever. I'm here for the ride. To each their own, but I get your point. I don't have any health problems so I don't worry. :dunno::D:cheerswine:

X2. The Colonel must be rolling in his grave.

Maybe not. While he was alive he had little to do with what KFC was doing.

He hated the instant mashed potatoes and ranted about the varations of chicken breadings that were the same as "a damned fried doughball!"

Before he sold the chain off he used to go around and inspect the individual stores and go off on them of the gravy or something else wasn't to his liking.

Yeah.

I also heard recently that Kentucky Fried Chicken had a policy of giving a free chicken dinner to anybody who asked, so itinerant bands used to - or still - go from KFC to KFC for dinner.

**Thread resurrection **
This thing survived the test markets!!?!? and now it's going nation wide. KFC is trying to kill us.

"This thing is so meaty there's no room for a bun!" - KFC

Atleast it's way less caloric then I expected but the salt is a killer. Let's see the Super Size Me guy eat 2 of these a day. 540 kCal and 1380 mg of sodium.

I usually throw away a lot of the bread on sandwiches anyway but I'm also not fond of deep fried, breaded stuff...

Why you people are so closed minded. Try it before you condemn it. Open your minds and your mouths.

It's got over a gram of sodium, and that doesn't even include the side you probably get with it.

Did any one try it? How was it?

I want to get one for lunch today. I just might do it too.
