Keep or discard external intercom?

Installing new Trig TY96 radio soon in Pitts S-2A. Currently have a PM1200 Intercom. Trig has a built-in one. Should I keep the PM1200 or discard it and start using the intercom in the new radio? Any pros or cons? Thanks!

The PM intercom is probably better than the built-in Trig, and it’s already wired to the headset jacks. I’d leave it and just run the 5 wires from the Trig to the intercom.

I ditched the intercom in my C120 for the one built into the Garmin GTR200, I've been very happy with that decision. However, I'm not sure how good the trig is.
