We have a trip scheduled here Tuesday morning through Thursday afternoon. Anybody up for lunch or dinner? Or have you all worn out your socializing at Gastons....

Instead of Gaston's I flew to Honduras to work on an XLS deal, so I'm available if the beautiful people are all tuckered out.

Have fun with the runway there. First 1600' NOTAMed closed, and no ILS to the 15 side. Oh, and it upslopes...ask me how I know. Also, if you have a Bonanza taxi out behind you, make sure you get as much in his way as possible!

Haha, we go to KADS quite a bit. We've even been there with the southern 2,200' closed and no ILS at all about a month ago. I heard that many airplanes relocated for the construction. I'll watch out for that Bonanza though.

I say, look out for smart-asses in backward-flying airplanes!

Mari, look forward to seeing you. Bet we can get something going. Bet Wayne can drag his experienced, important backside out.

Add in "ground loving" and the description will be complete.

I watched one taxi down 17L at APA and thought it just didn't like the concept of flying at all...

OK so what time is good for everyone? Is dinner better because some of you work (I think)? :D I can do dinner Tuesday or Wednesday and lunch any of the three days.

Your call. I can make anything this week.

I'm up for dinner activity. Someone just advise me of where/when since I gotta drive down from Little "D".

too bad it isn't the following week, i could swing by on the way to OK...:(

it would be worth it just to collect a few pearls from W. B...:D

Man, I'd love to join, but I've got family arriving from Seattle Wednesday 6pm, so I can't make it this time. Have fun, y'all!

Wednesday works for me.

You're always welcome Steve. Don't know if Wayne's around the following week, but either way, let us know.

Best,

Dave

Many choices here. What type food would you like? Reasonable prices? My number one choice would to go get B B Q. 30 minute flight to Stephenville. LaHacendia for Texmex with some Texas decor not too far. What to y'all think?

Best,

Dave

You're in big trouble if you're looking for material here.

I'm open to whatever people want to do. I like BBQ and Mexican.

If you've never been to Hard-8, Stephenville, it's worth a little time in a piston-powered plane.

Not that Dave's Luxo-Liner is any kind of punishment!

Actually I've never even heard of Stephenville. Sure I'll go for a ride if people want to do that. Sounds like fun. :)

There's a Hard 8 right next to DFW now... but driving the golf carts is much more fun. :goofy:

And probably a lot more convenient than schlepping to SEO.

Spoken like on who reads murder mysteries from the back forward. We don't just go for the food <g>

Best,

Dave

I offer no apologies for common sense. When it's 100F X.8 RH, I'm always opting for convenience and comfort. ;)

Are you guys open to a new guy joining you? I'd love to meet a few more local pilots. -Scott

You guys are from Texas. You're supposed to be used to the heat. :D

I'm still open to any suggestions but if there are quite a few people who want to meet we need to make sure there are enough airplane seats if that's what we plan to do. Otherwise someplace in town would probably be better. Also I may be bringing a guest depending on what my flying buddy wants to do for dinner tomorrow.

The way we do thing in the family, is if you don't like a suggestion; you make one of your own! Honduras would be a little far for me for dinner :goofy:

Best,

Dave

Scott: we'd love to have someone new come and add color to what otherwise might be a dull affair <g>

Best,

Dave

Thanks Dave- I'm looking forward to it. I'd love to pick the brains of a few airplane owners for an upcoming acquisition.

There are at least 50 restaurants within 10 minutes of the airport, with no transportation logistics issues and the flexibility for folks to come and go as necessary. Under the circumstances, I'd think any of them would be preferable to a hike to Stephenville.

If the 8 year-old's win tonight, my presence will be required for at least part of a grand-kid baseball game tomorrow evening, so I may need to skip out early anyway.

Um, tomorrow. It was "next week" when I posted on Saturday... or I guess that was Sunday. :D

There's no way I would plan something a week ahead that had to do with a trip. I thought I was taking a chance posting a few days ahead.

Thanks Dave. I'll have to take a rain check. Besides it wouldn't be the same with out Mari adding a little class to the group!

That is way too flattering, Steve, especially when I can't communicate the correct week.

OK, since it's getting close (tomorrow) how about someone picks out somewhere fairly local to Addison? As Wayne said there are tons of restaurants around here.

Since Wayne's doing the big-time jet deal, he's buying, I figured on III Forks...

If it cost a nickel to go around the world, I couldn't get out of town.
