Flew a PnP flight yesterday. a pup at the local shelter/rescue was adopted by a couple in Lincoln. So, I flew it halfway (Carrollton, MO) and Jesse was kind enough to fly it the rest of the way to Lincoln.

Big dog, big killer dog, good thing Jesse brought the 206. Here's the undeniable proof:

And the couple (Bob and Marsha) who adopted the dog:

And proof that even though pigs can't fly, dogs CAN!

The winds were interestingly uniform yesterday. About the same speed and direction---30 to 40 kts @ 290---from 3k to 12k. No ducking under it.

Flew directly into it going: 4,500', 22"/2300, 128kts true, 95kts GS.

But coming back! 7,500', 21.5"/2350, 134kts true, 170kts GS.

Good day of flying, I thought it was going to be lumpy but it wasn't at all.

Thanks Jesse, for helping!

Very nice, brightens my day to see people do something like that.

Thanks to both of you.

Jesse made an excellent choice in dog hauling aircraft BTW.

Jesse being the ace CFI that he is, the pup probably logged .8 dual, in the process.

Nice work, J and Tim!

Carrolton MO? You couldn't find a more out of the way spot to meet up:)

Hey, they have a huge airport! Jesse even thought so.

But seriously, we really don't really need much when we're just meeting up to hand off a dog. I was the one that picked it because it was just a tad over 1/2 way and right on course.

They had reasonably priced self serve 100LL, a toilet and 2500' of pavement. That's all we needed!

Heck, you could have cut the runway in 1/2 for Jesse. He used less than a 1000' of it both coming and going.

BTW...I beat Jesse there by 10 minutes or so. As I was coming into the pattern I made the infamous AJITAPA call. But I guess he was a tad too far out to hear or he was still on center. ;)

Bad form Tim, someone is bound to seek out the recirding for your infamous call and post it here for all to hear!!!!!:goofy::rofl:

Hope to see you next weekend!!

I have been to k26 a couple times, didn't realize that they had self service fuel... Will have to remember that.…

Yeah, but it's pretty camouflaged. I pulled up to a larger tank near the main hangar and was met by two guys asking, "you want us to put some Jet A in that thing?"

"Ummmm, no"

So they helped me push over to the SS pump. It's almost a "straight-in taxi" to that tank from the runway...and it is much smaller than the Jet A tank, hence my excuse for missing it,

It has a credit card reader so it's 24/7.

For sake of argument: you and Jesse both have PPLs...

Could you pay for his fuel?

(Running and ducking for cover)

Cute note from the puppy in her new home:
Hello everyone!

I wanted to say thank you for taking me on my journey to my new home in Nebraska!!!. My mom and dad love me to pieces already! :)

I am quite comfortable already in my new house! There are two big cats here! One is not too sure of me but seems friendly enough. The other one...well I am going to have to do some snuggling up to win her favor! :)

It's been a great day! Thanks again everyone!! I am sending you pics of Meredith and Jessie. They let me help fly their plane here from Carrollton, MO to Lincoln after Mr. Tim took me from Marble Hill, MO to Carrollton.!!

Am sending other pics of me at my new forever address!! Mom says it is almost time for bed, so I probably better go for now! Talk to you soon!!

Love, Ellie

I love stories like this. I fly for Young Eagles and Angel Flight but I really want to do Pilots and Paws.

Thank you for doing this!
