Jane Doe, PhD, John Doe, JD

...I will address you as you please without judgment as to whether or not it is appropriate.

Thank you. As I suggested up thread, you may address me as "master" since I have a master's degree.

I used to work with post-docs at a national laboratory. These folks had PhD’s in physics, math or engineering (mostly nukes) or something similar. Of the 3 generations I worked with (Boomer, Gen Z and Millennial), the Millennials we’re far and way the most humble and would rarely used their titles or even mention they had a PhD. The most arrogant- the Boomers - and it wasn’t even close. They demanded you referred to them only as “Dr I am full of Crap”, and would at time refuse to address anyone in a meeting who also didn’t have a PhD. The funny thing was, PhD were literally a dime a dozen at that lab. And the people that got the work done were the master level scientists who ran the projects and experiments. Only place I ever was associated with where lawyers who had JD’s used “Dr” so these guys would at least talk to us. Funny thing - always thought the Millennials were probably the smartest of the bunch.
