It's all fun until..

One more item to add to your passenger briefing. I already tell them to turn off flashes at night, but have them take a test photo from off to on (camera or cell phone camera) to ensure the setting saved and is persistent.

One of my friends phones doesn't keep the flash off persistent, I gave him my phone to use and just emailed him whatever pictures he took.
