It's 12:36AM. I just ran out to bring in my trash cans

It as bright out there as dusk.

There's a full moon lighting up a solid overcast and snow on the ground.

Winters are weird.

Not quite that bright here, because we don't have quite the snow coverage. In fact, though I brought your snowblower up from the basement, I haven't had call to start it yet. That reminds me, I owe you a check as soon as I do!

Don't sweat it. I gotta return your cultivator. :D

Just make sure you don't let this happen. ;)

Well, I'd have used the blower this evening, except I left work at 4:15, got 35 miles in 4:45, spent 30 minutes in a ditch after spinning out and getting stuck, and didn't get home until after 10:00. Luckily, my wonderful neighbor shoveled the driveway for us, though I think I'll try to do both of ours in the AM, presuming I have enough gas/oil mix.

Edit:
Well, it wouldn't start. The mix I had was probably stale.

Nah. The first start is a bear. Remember it's "guaranteed to start on one pull." :D

Close the choke.
Prime 3 times.
Pull. Pull. Pull.

I suspected that it was easy to flood, so try opening up the choke and pulling like with a plane. When you a get a sputter close the choke again.

guaranteed to start on one pull.

Phrase equivalency:
Guaranteed to start on one pull : The engine will in fact start on one pull, it's just not necessarily the first pull.

Well, I got it started this evening. Still need to work on it a little, because it looks like it's burning oil big-time. Which probably means that I have managed to mess up the mixture. :( Doesn't sound like it's running smoothly. Ah well, time to learn a little engine mechanics! (I'm the sort who takes the car to the dealer for an oil change! :yikes:)

It tends to make a little smoke normally. It's a two stroke, the oil is supposed to be in the fuel.

I got the tractor started with little trouble. The new battery is good. It too makes a lotta smoke when the choke is on.

A front tire was flat and when I tried to inflate it the air ran out as fast as it went it went in because the tire was off the bead. I can't steer too good with one tire. I kinna win.

I shoveled out the driveway.

Only 5 inches of ice and 10 inches of snow coming tonight.

I know that, it just seemed excessive compared to the other 2-stroke I had.

Bummer. Me too. but...

for this I plan to use the blower. I expect you'll have the check for Christmas!:princess: And just one minute ago I started hearing the precip hit the window. I'm anticipating working from home Friday.
