Hebrew and English are read in opposite directions, of course, but aside from that, the home pages of the two versions of the site appear at first glance to be nearly identical. There is one notable difference, though: the banner image across the top of the English-language home page, pictured above, shows a female soldier, while the same part of the Hebrew-language home page, pictured below, shows a male soldier engaged in prayer.

Gotta wonder how that meeting went... All I know is, yowza, thanks! :D

I'm sorry what is the point of this? That versions of webpages are designed to their target audiences? Shocked I am that marketing is going in this establishment!

Or is there some veiled attempt to discuss propganda and Israel in its dealings with Hamas?

If it was the former all I have to say is that stuff happens all the time. If it is the latter that would be a topic for the SZ IMHO

Former. I just like the hot Israeli women. :D And I know, it's a typical way to subconsciously get visitors to stay on the website longer. Just interesting that a military organization would be interested in such "marketing" tactics.

Take a look at our military. They have a large marketing budget for recruitment. With an all volunteer force they have to. Although I do admit that the whole "Army of One" marketing program is really, REALLY stupid.

I haven't seen the "Army of One" campaign in a while. I agree that it wasn't one of their brighter ideas. Now it's the "Army Strong" campaign.

Now it's the "Army Strong" campaign.

Exactly. The "Army of One" was a bomb from the start since the Army has always stressed the importance of "team."

Let's not start on the whole black beret situation, either.

You really have to go back to the 80's to see some good recruiting commercials and slogans.

Navy: Not Just a Job but an Adventure
Marines: The Few the Proud
Army: Be All That You Can Be
Air Force: A Great Way of Life

Tread lightly William, the Israeli IDF women are beautiful but the can rip out your knee cap with their pinky finger:yikes:

They are indeed "Hot". I dated a young lady from Tel Aviv back in the early 1970s. She worked for the J.D.L. as a fund raiser here in California.

Very pretty, very gutsy, lots n lots of fun.

Of that I'm sure! That's why I've got my nice safe distance at the moment. (The Atlantic is a "nice safe distance" right? RIGHT?) :D

Nope, I meant D-Day.

That event proved that if we could move an entire Army overseas and then launch an amphibious assault that not fortifications nor oceans were ever going to stop anything ever again.

Good point, but... :)

It took months (years?) to build up the invasion force. Further, that landing could easily have been thwarted.

I submit in the modern age of Google Earth, Spot Imaging, Digital Globe and other satellite imagery providers (not to mention state imagery assets) the buildup of the forces necessary for a large-scale amphibious assault would be detected long before the surprise could be sprung.

On the other hand, launching Sputnik forever demonstrated that any point on the planet could be hit with devastating nuclear (or "newcaler" depending on which vernacular is used) or even conventional weapons within minutes. No army needed. :)

Well...after serving 3 years of active duty and 20 years of active reserve duty in the IDF...Even Pamela Anderson wouldn't be able to convince me to re-enlist :nonod:

But if our friend Ahmadinejad finally gets his nuclear toys...The military probably won't give me a lot of options :yikes:

By the way, Chavez kicked out our ambassador today...but who cares ?
