Is there a page that lists the engines in piston singles?

Is there a singlar web site, web page, or online "catalog" of the various engines found in piston singles? Where all of the info is gathered in one place?

Something that would allow me to scroll to the type/sub-type, click the link and then view various details and information about the engine?

As I window shop, the listings frequently list which engine is mounted to that airframe. And I've seen various comments on the forums. But the information is pretty scattered.

Any help?
 
Yep, you can usually find it in the TCDS or the POH.
 
I find Wikipedia to be pretty good for looking stuff like that up. There's a LOT of information there on most of the models I have looked at, including year to year changes -- nice when a model was manufactured for 2, 3, 4 decades with various engines and other changes.

Found what you were referencing on FAA.gov. That will help.

I guess as far as commentary on the design....? Just exercise some Google Fu?

@DaleB: Checked out Wikipedia... that's a good source too.

Then there is that % of a/c with an engine not on the tcds but has been stc'd or field approved. Surprising common.
 
Wikipedia works great.

I go there to see what engine is on what and also, if you look up an engine, many times it will tell you what planes X engine was used on.
