The Byers VOR (BVR) has disappeared from the Garmin Pilot charts and is no longer valid as a waypoint in Garmin Pilot. DUATS still accepts it. A DUATS briefing shows no applicable Navigation NOTAM for BVR.

So, what is going on with BVR?

BVR was decommissioned a few years ago. It still showed up on the VFR sectionals for a while, tho. It's gone. A shame, too. It was the closest VOR on the east side of Denver that wasn't in the high-volume traffic pattern for DIA. Many students (APA and FTG) used it for practice (holds, backcourse, tracking, etc). FQF is too close to DIA.

Yes, I know DUATS still accepts it. But it's gone, no matter what DUATS thinks.

Looks like it was decommissioned, it doesn't appear on the charts.
