I mean, who likes cleaning gutters?!?!
I mean, who likes cleaning gutters?!?!
What if you have screens?
No trees...so nothing to get into them!!! One advantage Nebraska has....I had to clean gutters in NJ.
I see a few issues with this iRobot. One is that it doesn't appear to be able to turn corners which would mean I'd still have to place it at many different locations. Another is that I'd expect the rotating cleaner would cause the shingle grit to scratch through the protective coating on the inside of the gutters leading to corrosion.By sheer coincidence I just finished cleaning my gutters today. There were leaves - on the side of the house with a tree. However, most of what I removed was grit (coarse sand) washed down from the roof tiles. There was more of that than I would have expected.

Did anyone else notice that the ladder was crushing the gutter in the demo video and that the user didn't run the device across the gutter there or further to the left? I suspect that you'd need a helmet and goggles for protection if you let the cleaner go past the ladder and I think it would need to be rotated 180 degrees to get all the way to the other end.
So Mike I take it you have one of these and don't like it. Can you give up a PIREP on why?You want one? Make me an offer.
Either way (with or without the robot) you're still going to be climbing up and down ladders a lot. I think putting gutter guards on, which allow water in but not leaves, or buying "mostly sealed gutters", is a better long term solution, but I bet they sell a few of these.
Have you tried the foam inserts? Stuff like needles will still lie on top but if it gets thick enough to block the flow into the gutter the resulting overflow washes most of it off.The problem I have is that I have pine trees... the gutter gards don't work on pine needles.

Anyone have a Roomba?
