iPad 2, v8.0. For some reason, it appears to connect by wi-fi but cannot find any website, nor can it connect to any network app (e.g. ForeFlight, Safari, iSSH, etc). I get the error that the server can't be found. So I deleted the wi-fi connection, rebuilt it, still doesn't find any server.

Pulled out the iPod Touch, connected to the wi-fi and every app, just fine. In all the years, this is the first time I've had network problems with it. What's worse, it was working just fine this morning.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Power the unit completely off and then back on. I sometimes have a problem with mine after I download updates to programs. This always seems to solve it.

8.1.1 is available and supposedly better on the 2. They've been addressing wifi issues with every release. You may want to try that.

I was having some intermittent issues. I finally bought a new router and haven't had an issue since, so not sure if it was all the iPad's fault.

Router not the problem - all the other devices off the router work fine, both hard wire and wi-fi. Already did the power-off, I may need to do a reset. Not looking forward to that.

Sure it's connecting to the correct network?

Yup. I deleted the network entry, power-off, then created a new network entry for the wi-fi. The correct network appears to be connected. But no network app works. Wi-fi connects and works on the iPod Touch, works on the Mac portable, works on the Windows7 machine, works on the Windows XP machine. Just not on the iPad.

Hm....I just checked "About" and the version is 7.1. Thought I had upgraded this to 8. Which means the iPod is on v 8.

Oh, how interesting....In the Diagnostics page, AeroWeatherPro has crashed 6 times in the past few days, in fact it's the only crash.

Another symptom. Connected the iPad to the Mac thru USB cable, started up iTunes. "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. Could not connect to the device"

I'm not a happy camper. Time for a hard reset, I think.

Update....the hard reset solved the problem.
