iOS 7 iMessage & Texting Issue

So ever since I upgraded I started getting complaints from people that I didn't answer their text messages and I wondered why they didn't respond to mind. Come to find out that my messages weren't going through. I googled it and turned off all messaging and turned it back on including the button to send as a text if iMessage was not available. It still does not work even when I am connected to WiFi. I have to touch the text balloon and select send as a Text for it to go through. Any ideas?
 
Make sure you are running the latest 7. I had this issue with the original 7.
 
Thanks all I think I fixed it by simply rebooting the phone.

There's a longer procedure that clears it. I had the problem also (and didn't realize it ).

- Turn off iMessage.
- In General Settings, reset Network Settings.
- Device will reboot.
- Turn iMessage back on.

Yeah I seem to recall seeing that a few days ago pre-Vegas and not responding since you covered it.

Then either forgot or those were the slow brain cells that lost their lives in wingman-esque support of the Friday afternoon into evening, light liver pickling event. ;)
