It does stay pretty damned flat doesn't it.
Would go even flatter with a metal prop.
Ok, so who is taking me up to do this!?!?!?
Pretty much anyone in your area who does advanced aerobatics training.
No Joy there I had to travel 5hrs for Spin Training

he said the Catto would only give 2.5 consecutive snap rolls. Judging by what I see on his Oshkosh performance video the metal prop allows for a few more snaps
Gee, I was excited because I just did my first inverted stall a few weeks ago. That felt pretty weird, but this does look dizzying.
With some luck there should be a new record on inverted flat spins this Sunday.

Cool, I always question why someone would want to, but WTH, if they want to, why not.
That's the rumor :wink2:
Media exposure and self promotion for airshow work.
We were not able to increase the record. We made two of our objectives, she climbed to FL244 and the seat belt issue was fixed. This plane is a true performer, I have a fix for the new problem that came up, we will try again soon. I knew she could get to FL240, who needs a turbo.

It did spin 38 times from 24400 to 15500. That was encouraging, the plane spins more per thousand feet the lower it gets.
The plane has a IO540 with 260 HP, a inverted oil system was added to the engine.
Flat spins? That's due to CG right? Rear CG, goes flat. I dunno, those Pitts seem to be able to do just about anything and come out of it...
