Wow, hunker down! Let us know when it has passed!I was downstairs watching a movie when the shrill of my weather radio went off.
The storm is still about 6 miles from here based on the last radar return (now 8 minutes old). Nasty rotation in this one...
Cheers,
-Andrew
in the "safe" part of the house, with a radio, flashlight, laptop, and cats.
Dang! Well, at least the winds will abate to 85 - 90 mph!
Still gonna be toasty, though!
LOL... I wonder if maybe they might be off just a bit on those temps...

Sure has been a crazy year for weather!
Rotation missed me by about 5 miles according to the radar. Constant lightning for a solid 45 minutes, now just occasional flashes. Pretty amazing.
Thanks for the positive thoughts -- seeing "Tornado Warning" on the wx radio (thanks Scott -- I love my Reecom) gives me the heebie jeebies.
Cheers,

I know what you mean, Andrew! I was driving from KMKE to Fond du Lac in early June, and it got progressively darker due to approaching black clouds. Finally I kicked on the radio and was greeted with nonstop tornado warning coverage - tornado on the ground in (forgot it already) county! I had no idea what county I was in, so I called ahead to our host for the evening to ask. "Right where you are!" OK, cue the heebie jeebies! End of story... we never saw a funnel cloud. got the car washed, though!... seeing "Tornado Warning" on the wx radio (thanks Scott -- I love my Reecom) gives me the heebie jeebies.

I ran across your pictures of the storm clouds the other day...those were great pictures! I'm using your picture of the Citabria in my presentation if that's OK with you...I love that one!!!At least it doesn't include those ugly clouds we saw....
