Telemundo is broadcasting it's video music show from a hangar at Miami, Dade airport. There's a Hawker, Citation and Jet Ranger in the backround. It's hard to tell if there are anymore with all the latinas dancing around. Interesting alternate use of hangar space. I wish the english speaking channels produced quality programing like this.
A year or two ago, there was a photo shoot at my airport, in a hangar just down the row from me. Lots of young, scantilly-clad young ladies posing around the Piper Warrior that was kept in that hangar. I was told it was a shoot for one of the Hispanic cable channels.
I had to taxi by to get to the runway. So I put on my leather coat, and tied my silk scarf in what I call the "
Hollywood Knot."
Mount up, strap in, and get ready to fire up. Shout "Clear", take a REAL careful look around (a lot of non-pilots about), and pull the handle. I noticed that they are getting a model posed down where I'll be taxiing past. She's wearing what looks to be three large white puffballs; one at the waist, one at the, ummm, "upper torso,", and one on her head as a hat.
A surreptitious tug on my scarf to get it smoothed out, then brakes off and start rolling. As I taxied past the model, I turned towards the camera and pulled the biggest ****-eating grin I had.
And the camera strobe fired.
Bet they didn't use that one...
