Anyone caught by this? What was the impact and how did ATC handle it?

The TFR was originally scheduled to start at 1559 PST (FDC 5/0429). At 1205 PST, FDC 5/1142 was issued "Effective Immediately" moving up the start time by almost 4 hours.

I bet there was an "Attention all aircraft" announcement on ATC frequencies... Or at least I hope there was. Hopefully guard as well.

I also hope AOPA jumps in on this one. There'd best not be any violations for those who were airborne when it started, and I hope the Secret Service learns a thing or two.

I almost got caught in a situation like this for Reagan's funeral. The NOTAM was posted with less than 4 hours notice, and got a (voice) briefing 30 minutes before a ~3:30 min flight from NorCal. Had no idea there was a TFR over SMO, and I was planning to use the LAX SVFR route. Fortunately, I was on FF with ATC and as I was coming into the basin they asked something like "say intentions for route", and I responded LAX SVFR corridor. They came back with the NOTAM warning, and was able to change routes. Had I opted to not have FF, I certainly would have busted that TFR. I did file an ASRS report on that.

In an ideal world, they would be smart enough to realize that these NOTAMs just advertise where and when POTUS will be located.

I'm guessing it wasn't much of an issue because very few planes were up due to the high winds. Pure luck.

In the unlikely event someone got caught, I’d think a NASA report would have been very helpful in several ways
