Thanks to Jesse, who was brave enough to fly in an airplane with me and film this.

Nice! I love it. Need more dance moves.

Also learned a new place to put my pen in a Cessna. ;)

OMG. I have never even had music in flight. This is hilarious.

you just need one of those handy dandy intercoms you can plug your MP3 player into....I bought one and then the plane I got had its own panel mounted intercom with no external input for music. Make sure you buy a stereo headset and intercom for best sound.

I think my headset has an input (and I have the cords too and the players).

I don't think I AM READY. Now, if I had a cross country - sure. But so far I've had plenty to keep me busy. If I do pattern work I would not use music for the takeoff (upwind) and landing (final). To me - until things are "perfect" - I've got stuff to improve upon. Had my first passenger and it was a hoot, want to be a smooth pilot for other passengers which takes practice.

The music cuts out when you talk or someone else does, I still find it highly annoying.

Interesting that no one commented on your musical taste!

Does anyone else remember the Iron Eagle movie where the guy had Queen playing on a Walkman (cassette) strapped to his thigh? :goofy:

If you have Zulus or Zulu 2s press the little black button on the bottom of the control box......then the music wont cut out when someone starts talking

Maybe I should ask for aviators for Christmas. Those are very pilot-like.

I wonder what the female version is.

This is amazing. You need to send that to AOPA, see if they will feature it on their website LOL.

Showed the video to Mrs. DenverPilot. She immediately said two things, "That's great!" and "He's got huge pilot shades on."

Nate-

David ain't that huge, himself. All a matter of perspective.

I was thinking that that song was popular when I was learning to fly... and I was not much older than David... and had similar sunglasses...

Not very nice David. Some of us are old enough to have lived through the disco period and it was bad. Many of us had to endure disco since it was popular with the girls. My wife still has her Saturday Night Fever album. First we get Rickrolled and now this. You're torturing us. Enough!

It was even more difficult to listen to inside the airplane...It's possible the lack of oxygen available at 12,000 was contributing to his dance moves.

The only thing more vile than disco is the thought that it persists to this day. Thanks for ruining mine.

How hilarious! It's good to have a good time flying and being funny. I saw the movie when it first came out in Paris. Your video brought back good memories.

You saw Saturday Night Fever in France? Was it dubbed or subtitled. I saw Terminator in dubbed Spanish and Arnold sound so effeminate...:rofl::rofl:

Le Fevre de Samedi Soir.... it was in English w/ French subtitles... Patty, my friend who was with me kept grinching about the bad translation. I just watched the movie.... it was in some theatre on Blvd St Michelle

They had disco playing on the demo speaker in the Brookstone store last night and I thought about this thread. Is disco popular again?
