Leaving the house around 1:30 AM to catch a 5:15 AM flight out of SEA. Ultimate destination - after three flights - Acapulco for a week. No internet, no phone (as long as I leave it turned off). All inclusive resort. I'm going to do as little as I can get away with. And, given that my wife has the same plan, I should be successful.

See you all around the 3rd of July.

Sounds like a totally artificial SELFISH personal restriction. On the other hand, food fun and sun would be enough to keep me offline for a couple of days. (You did say 3 days, didn't you?)

every resort I've been to in Mexico has a public computer room with internet access fairly cheap. Most lately have free WiFi. My wife grabs my elbow when we walk by, and gives me "the look" when packing "You're not taking your laptop, are you?"

So, yeah - no internet for a week! :)

Have fun. I spent a day in Acapulco back around Christmas time (shore excursion on a cruise). I recommend seeing the Museo Historico de Alcapulco, the Chapel de la Paz, and the cliff divers.

Well, I haven't downloaded the pictures from the camera, but we did just what we planned to do. Virtually nothing. Yes, there were Internet cafés, but why bother? Saw the cliff divers and relaxed for a week. But, all inclusive got old after a while. A week of much the same food each day got old quick. But the margaritas and beer at the swim up bar were just fine. :D

Was this vacation or an IEEE meeting? :D

Years ago my dad cracked his head up diving off of one of those swim up bars. He was pretty tight when he got up there.

This was VACATION! :cheerswine:

Oh, and the first picture was taken from one of the balconies of our room. Very convenient to the pool.
