Yeah.. We're supposed to be driving across Iowa on Friday, which is supposed to be the 'bad' day here. Should be interesting with a 22' moving truck pulling a Jeep Wrangler on a car-hauler. Yeehaw...

Not a good plan if the weather dude is correct. Friday here is 12" of snow on the ground and 40 mph sustained winds. Please proceed with great care. I would have to have to come get you!

We're just supposed to get rain. Might drive up to Cleveland to see my mum. Actually, there probably will be snow up that way. Usually is.

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, too ... slipped out of CO yesterday morning and looking at the snow on the peaks at San Bernadino, CA ...

Get-there-iteis is a bad thing even in a car...

Sometimes it's better to wait a day.

We made it across Iowa today with no problems. Had to drive about 30mph for about 30mins b/c of ice/snow covered roads in the Des Moines metro area. A section that normally takes us about 1/2hr took us about 1 hr today. Once we got about 10-15 miles east of DSM, roads cleared up and it was smooth sailing the rest of the way to Muscatine. Sounds like I-35 was the dividing line between rain and snow last night. DSM/Ames got about 4" of the white stuff and about 20 miles east the bean fields were clear from all the rain they had yesterday.

I80 is close west of Lincoln to Grand Island, NE,

3' drifts on secondary roads, wind chills -10, still snowing with 1-3" more coming.

Merry Giftmas,,, Seasons greetings to all. But if it is snow & a white X-mas you want, stay away from me!... Snow is a four letter word. I am looking forward to a mild snow FREE few days off. Dave p.s. Been there Done that, No thanx. Hope YOU enjoy that cold miderable crap that falls from the sky. DR

No snow here in Jonesboro Ark. Just lots of flooding. Came down here on Thurs to meet up with a friend which disappeared before I got here and now I'm stuck in Ark with a broken car, lol. Hope to get back to snowy MO tomorrow.
