The second of our three girls, Abigail, graduated from high school this past weekend. The District and PTA host an all night "Project Graduation" lock-in event at the school the night of the graduation, for Seniors to have one last "hurrah" with their friends before college, and to keep them in a supervised, non-drinking, fun and game-filled environment. Businesses donate door prizes, from laptops to computers, to experiences of all sorts.

So Abby excitedly texts Mom about an hour after she arrives... to tell us the "VERY COOL" thing she'd won...

And when she got home, she asked me and Mom to be the "three" (with her) that get to experience what she won. Look what she got!

Congrats to you guys. Very exciting!

Also, this has to be the coolest High School related gift I've ever seen!!

Sounds like somebody's dad may have paid off somebody on the prize committee. :D

Dang, but you're one lucky dude. First, to have a daughter win simething like that, and second, have her trained well enough to share with you! :)

Now, when's she getting her rating? :)

Troy, Isn't Abigail the one who wants her A/P also? Very cool indeed !

Hey, that's cool! I'm going to remind myself what a prize I've won in about 2 hours when I show up for my sim brief.

Really, she'll have a lot of fun with it and so will you. Do you know what type airplane or is it whatever is available that day?

I don't know what is available that day Mari. Hoping the Lear 45; I spent an hour flying that sim before, it was fantastic.

Jeannie, yes, she was the one with the A&P interest; not sure if she's going to go that route now...

Woohoo! Congrats to Abigail! And I do expect she's going to pass up the Falcon and Hawker and other jets over there to get a sim flight in one of the Bell machines, right? ;-)

Wow, I'm jealous of Abigail, Troy.

Make sure to pay off the instructor so that he fails all instruments, engines and cockpit lighting at night over the Rockies. That is about the only thing I can imagine being more fun in a sim than a normal sim flight.

But either way, flying a sim would be awesome (I have only flown GA simulators, not the big boys, and certainly not full motion). Congrats.

I'm four years ahead of you, Troy! My youngest daughter Abigail is graduating from Northwestern next weekend! (and that means I am done with Tuition Payments!!! Yay, more flying money!)

And the good news is that she has a job as a go-fer for an executive recruiter. She will be living near KGON so there will be easy access. Sadly, although she enjoys being a GA passenger, she doesn't have the bug to become a pilot yet. This may change!!!

Awesome Skip!!!!! I can't wait for the "no more payments" part! I thought that didn't end til after about 10 years into their own home.

She's got it booked for Tuesday the 22nd... she asked what we'd be flying.

Falcon 2000 EX, here we come!
